畲乡绿道项目于2014年1月启动前期工作，2014年6月份正式开工建设，2015年10月21日举行揭牌仪式并全线开放通行。在建设过程中县委县政府高度重视绿道建设的生态与自然，在规划设计之初便提出绿道建设要尊重原有地形地貌，以自然山水为背景，与生态环境相融合，突出绿色和主题。2015年12月10日，以畲乡绿道为代表的景宁畲族自治县畲乡绿廊水利风景区获水利部授牌，成功申报国家水利风景区。

At the beginning of planning and design, it was proposed that the Greenway construction should respect the existing topography, in which the natural landscape should be set as the background for the integration of the ecological environment and highlighting of greenness and themes.On December 10, 2015, Jingning She Autonomous County Shezu Village Green Corridor Water Conservancy Scenic Area represented byShezu Village Greenway was awarded by MWR (Ministry of Water Resources), and was successfully declared as the National Water Scenic Area.
